LEARN HOW TO PAINT IN OILS

TERM 4 - 2026

17th October - 5th December Saturday morning class 10am till 1pm

3hrs x 8 weeks - $260 (subject to t&c's)

Single drop-in 3hr lesson - $50 (subject to t&c's)

• The workshop involves producing a painting - or two - from start to finish using images gleaned from digital images of our wonderful Blue Mountains as well as selected Still Life compositions. The lessons are designed to help the student push past their comfort zones and develop the confidence to produce a finished painting.
• It is a relaxed workshop using oil based mediums. Each participant/student is taken through the various stages of producing a landscape painting. This involves canvas preparation, composition and perspective principles as well as the many techniques of application. We will cover some basic colour mixing.
• The expected outcome will form the foundation for the student to produce further works and develop their own style and techniques.
• This class is suited for beginners to intermediate level students.
